The Firm

Who We Are
Since our founding in 2002, we have focused our practice on providing structural and forensic engineering to a variety of clients. On the structural side, we are committed to ensuring that our designs satisfy a given "design intent", are predicated on safety, and deliver solid, reliable serviceability. We strive to offer creative solutions while making efficient use of funds and materials to achieve these goals. Within the forensics realm, we thoroughly investigate the scene and surroundings of the catastrophic event or product failure to determine the cause and origin as well as the complete scope of damage and liability. By combining extensive hands-on technical experience with strong scientific analysis, Highland Engineering provides customers with a comprehensive investigation as well as forensic inspection reports that are thorough and accurate. Clients can be assured that their projects are given the attention they deserve.
How We Work
Highland Engineering is a hands-on, service based firm. We offer distinctive solutions and personalized service to each client based on an in-depth understanding of their goals and needs. Each client we work with is assigned a project team with one point of contact and we pride ourselves on seeing the work through from start to finish. From the highest level of our firm, leadership plays a proactive role in every project ensuring the best outcome possible.
Our Core Values

Highland Engineering embraces a number of commonly shared values: collaboration, clear communication, competent engineering, integrity, and accountability. These values allow us to focus on our strong bias toward action and results, entrepreneurial spirit and, at all times, the highest ethical standards. These values represent the behavior our firm is expected to exhibit. In our view, fostering a culture that embodies these values will lead to success and growth for our employees, our business, and most importantly, our clients.

  • Collaboration works when everyone participates. That's why we place a high value on collaborating with our clients. We believe creating a partnership helps us not only gain a greater understanding of our client's needs, it allows us the ability to provide thorough results. We don't stop at meeting expectations – we believe in exceeding them.
  • Clear Communication makes a difference in many ways. Highland Engineering believes in openly sharing information, insight, and advice frequently and constructively and managing our client's expectations every step of the way.
  • Competent Engineering is about never settling for anything less than excellence in the services we provide. Our commitment to professional excellence ensures that our clients receive the highest quality of service. Our staff is well qualified, has expertise in a wide variety of materials and how they work together, and continuously strives to remain on the cutting-edge of the latest advancements and trends within our industry.
